We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our second annual “Etre Experience” in Toronto at BOHO City on December 20, from 7-9pm.
We will celebrate life and liberation of the human spirit in a way that can be only done through art.
Last year’s event welcomed almost 100 unexpected guests who floated in a night of artistic bliss. We are committed to preserving the essential elements of the experience, while introducing our first ever Anti-Fashion Show.
“Nothing like what I’ve ever experienced before. I would go to one of these shows at least once a week” – Chris Fahmy on last years show.
We invite you to explore the art of storytelling through fashion. We believe in the importance of authentic self-expression through our fashion choices wearing our truth, rather than passively following trends. We feel that fashion has become an over-objectification of the model, reducing people to mere mannequins, rather than providing them a vehicle for creative expression. As a result, we want to show people a new way–a more liberating one–to be fashionable.
We’ll be showcasing this concept through an immersive, interactive exhibition and fashion show, which will include a diverse group of models of different sizes and shapes, a short film and curated pieces of artwork. During the exhibition, the audience will encounter various sensory stimuli, intended to heighten participant’s senses and deepen their experience.. Elements, such as, sound/music, lights, video, and even smells will be embedded into the fabric of the show, making it a more palpable and engaging.Though the space may be dressed like an art gallery, it will feel more like a religious service or intimate concert.
We will be featuring the work of up-and-coming artists, such as Alicia Krawchuk, Økuntakinte, Alexandra Pelletier, and stories written by the linguistic wizards Ashley Foy and Mark Hutchison. Attendees will also have the opportunity to add to the artwork themselves.
Continuing the momentum from our website (eternalremedy.com), we are eager to continue the movement towards fostering deeper, more meaningful experiences through a multi-modal combination of artistic forms.
We are also very excited to announce the launch of new products, available at the event. Can’t wait for you to see what we have in store.
