Bare; Anti Fashion Show
EVENTS
● Project Overview
“Step Outside the Cycle”
An immersive exploration of storytelling through fashion—one that shifted the focus from trend-chasing to truth-telling. The experience centered on authenticity: wearing who you are, not who you’re told to be. Through a multi-sensory, interactive exhibition and fashion presentation, the evening unfolded across live models, a short film, and curated works of art, encouraging reflection on how identity is expressed, constructed, and shared.
Guests were invited not only to observe, but to participate—contributing to the artwork and engaging with the experience as it evolved. The event also marked the launch of the être product line, available exclusively on-site.
The journey lasted approximately 30 minutes and looped exhibition-style from 7pm onward, allowing guests to linger, connect, and revisit elements that resonated. Admission included full access to the exhibition, a glass of wine, and light snacks, followed by a closing reception where attendees connected with both established and emerging creatives from across the city.
Program Structure
The experience unfolded as a looping, immersive exhibition designed to guide guests through a reflective journey on identity, perception, and self-expression through fashion. Upon arrival, guests entered a multi-sensory environment combining visual art, live models, and sound, creating an atmosphere that invited both observation and participation. At the core of the experience was a fashion presentation interwoven with a short film and curated artworks, each contributing to a narrative that questioned trends, image-making, and the pursuit of perfection. The exhibition encouraged guests to move freely through the space, engaging with the work at their own pace and returning to moments that resonated.
Interactive elements invited attendees to contribute directly to the artwork, reinforcing the idea that identity is not fixed but continuously shaped.
The presentation looped approximately every 30 minutes from 7pm onward, allowing guests to enter at any point, stay as long as they wished, and experience the narrative multiple times. The evening concluded with a reception, creating space for conversation, reflection, and connection within Toronto’s creative community.
